Hi Tanya!
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am thrilled to answer your excellent question about
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Tanya, you have made so many beautiful memories come rushing back to me. The first and most unforgettable time I ever stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I stayed in an outer building - garden view room. In fact, it was a dormer room with beautiful vaulted ceilings and a spacious living area. You will be happy to know that
all standard Guest rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — including those in the outer buildings — include a sleeper sofa! The sleeper sofas are comfortable and roomy. Your princess-in-training will enjoy sleeping on it and I hope she has the most magical dreams ever.
The dormer rooms in the outer buildings have private, enclosed balconies. These balconies are solid unlike the other balconies available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Many Guests love the additional privacy this provides. However, please keep in mind that because of the additional privacy these balconies offer, you must stand up in order to take in the view. If you prefer to sit, you may not be able to enjoy the complete view your room offers. If this is an issue for you, I suggest requesting a non-dormer room.
Tanya, I hope I have helped answer your question. If you have any other questions, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We would love to help sprinkle extra “pixie dust” on your Walt Disney World Resort visit!
Wishing you an Unforgettable Vacation,
Priscila
