We will be staying at the Grand Floridian Christmas week (22-27). Is it true they will put a small xmas tree in the room if requested?

Oh, I am so envious! You'll be staying at my favorite resort during the most magical days of the year! It's my wish to one year be at WDW during the actual holiday.

I have been to WDW at the beginning of December on a few separate trips. Many guests do indeed decorate their rooms, including windows and balconies to celebrate the season.

Small Christmas trees may be ordered through the WDW Florist. See for more information. These trees are usually advertised as the holiday season gets under way. Note that the prices are often quite expensive. I have heard of some guests actually shipping a small tree to their hotel from home in order to save on this expense. You can call WDW Florist for more info or wait until the trees are advertised on the web site.

The Grand Floridian is beautiful all year-round. At Christmas, it glows even brighter with the breathtaking (enormous!!) tree and the smell of the Gingerbread House and its goodies wafting through the lobby.
