Hi there Lynda, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question, I'm thrilled to help! It sounds like you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort. You are sure to make amazing memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
To get from the Grand Floridian to the
Disney's Riviera Resort, you’ll want to allow about 45 minutes to an hour for travel, depending on Disney transportation timing. Here are the two best options:
- Monorail + Skyliner Option - Take the Monorail from the Grand Floridian to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). Transfer to the EPCOT Monorail at the TTC and ride to EPCOT. Head to the International Gateway exit (near France in World Showcase) then board the Skyliner at the International Gateway, taking the line toward the Riviera Resort.
- Bus Option - Take a direct bus from the Grand Floridian to any park (Magic Kingdom is the closest) and transfer to the Riviera Resort bus there. I find that the most efficient transfer hub is usually Hollywood Studios, where you can board the Skyliner to the Riviera Resort.
For a smooth trip, plan about an hour, especially if you need to factor in any stroller use for the little ones.
I hope this information helps you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort Lynda! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
