Hi we will be staying at the Grand Floridan Resort - which building is best suited for a family of 5 - 3 kids ages 16/14/11 - this is our first visit to Disney - we are renting a car but would also like to be close to the monarail

    Hi Joyce,

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is my daughter's favorite place to stay when we visit Walt Disney World. I'm not sure what view you have booked but I can honestly say you can't go wrong with any of the buildings at the Grand Floridian!

The buildings may look spread apart, but none of them are very far from the monorail, buses, boats, shopping, dining, or the pools. You are just a quick walk away from your next activity!

We do love the convenience of the monorail, but at least once be sure to use boat transportation. We found when leaving the Magic Kingdom at closing time, it was quicker to take a boat back to the Grand Floridian. You also have a great view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the marina.

Be sure to let us know if we can help you with any other questions!
    Wishing you a grand vacation,
    Amy H.
