Hello Danielle! I am always happy to answer a question sent by a fellow Pennsylvanian! What better way to spend a cold Pennsylvania winter day than dreaming of a stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! That is my family's favorite resort!
I love your strategy of getting to
Magic Kingdom Park as early as possible! Fortunately, that park is so close to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa that you won't have any problems making it for your morning plans! I have good news for you! Whether you choose to glide through the sky on the Monorail or set off on foot via the newly-opened walking path, you will arrive to Magic Kingdom Park in plenty of time!
During my most recent visit, I timed the walk from the resort to Magic Kingdom Park. At a very leisurely stroll, the walk took me about 12 minutes. I wish I could start every day making that magical walk! Should you choose to ride the
Monorail, it is advertised as running 30 minutes prior to park opening. However, it has been my experience, including during a recent visit, that the Monorail was running at least 45 minutes prior to park opening!
Danielle, your visit will be here before you know it! Keep sending great questions to planDisney! We're happy to help!
Hakuna Matata! Jonathan
