Hi Elise! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
You're going to love your stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We recently stayed there on our family trip where we enjoyed the exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure Park, delicious dining options, and gorgeous lobby. It was an incredible experience! I definitely recommend it.
We used our in-room refrigerator to cool down water bottles we took for our park day and some of my must-needed sodas. Along with those beverages, we also stored leftovers from our delicious in-room dining, which we indulged in several times for breakfast and dinner. If you're tired at the end of a long day and don't feel up to dining in the park, I can't recommend that option highly enough. Every standard room in the hotel has one of these convenient mini-refrigerators. They probably won't hold a gallon of milk, but they can store up to three half-gallons. These half-gallons are typically stocked for sale at the hotel. There are usually pints available for purchase too at various locations throughout the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You can speak to a Cast Member about where to find them if you don't immediately spot what you're looking for.
If you're staying in one of the Disney Vacation Club Villas, however, these feature full kitchens with full-size refrigerators and freezer compartments, where you'd be able to store a gallon of milk. While you won't find gallons of milk for sale at the hotels, you can have groceries delivered to your hotel and Bell Services will keep items that need to be refrigerated cool for you, which is very helpful! We've ordered groceries for our stay many times, especially when our kids were very little. It's a seamless process.
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
