Hello. We are staying at the Grand Californian Resort soon and haven't been able to get reservations at the resort restaurants. If we were to eat out at Downtown Disney are we able to charge our meals back to our room? Thank you

    Hiya, Claire-Louise!

Welcome to planDisney! We're so happy that you found us hEAR!

Oh dear! I am so sorry that you're having a dining reservation dilemma! I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to peek inside your My Disneyland Account to see your Holi-dates, but I do have some tips that might help:

~Disneyland Dining Reservations open for booking 60 days in advance of every Disney day. Some of the most popular locations do book up solid as soon as they are online; however, Guests change their minds and plans all the time so it doesn't hurt to keep checking back. (I find it's best to check for a specific time vs. the meal period like 'lunch'.) You can also ask in person at each desired dining location if they have availability for that or the next few days, or utilize the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability in the Disneyland Mobile App.

~I'm also unable to see how large your group is, but, one of the pandemic restrictions that seems to still be around is that reservations at Disney-owned locations had a limit of six (6) per table. Try sEARching for a table for 6; if you end up seeing availability then you could always book multiple tables to be seated around the same time. The one caveat is that your group will need two (or more!) My Disneyland Accounts to book each reservation as Guests can only hold one reservation within 90 minutes of another.

~At the current time, meals and souvenEARs are not able to be charged back to the credit card on file with your Disneyland Resort Hotel. However, you can instantly charge the same card should you list it as your main form of Mickey spending money in your Disneyland Mobile App which you can then use for Mobile Food & Beverage Orders as well as Merchandise Mobile Checkout.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Claire-Louise! Be sure to check out the official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. We even just launched the brand new planDisney Podcast! Thank you again so much for stopping by, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort holiday planning questions, We're All Ears!
