Hey there, hi there, Benjamin! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks so much for stopping by with your reservations question!
It's so exciting to hear that you will be heading to Disneyland Resort soon! I can't think of a more cozy spot to land after a day in the parks than the Grand Californian
during the holidays. You should most definitely take advantage of Early Entry during your stay as a Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest. To utilize
Early Entry during your visit, you will need valid theme park admission as well as
theme park reservations for that same park on that date. So yes, on Saturday, you would want your reservation to be at Disneyland Park for your starting park to enjoy Early Entry and then Disney California Adventure Park for Sunday.
To take advantage of Early Entry, I find it's important to be ready and waiting for security to open either at the
Downtown Disney entrance to head to Disneyland Park, or the Grand Californian entrance to Disney California Adventure. Being ahead of the security lines will mean you will be in a better position at the turnstiles when they allow Guests to enter. There is no special line for Early Entry Guests at the turnstiles. Then, once you are in the park, you will find signage and Cast Members checking hotel reservations to allow you past the rope drop staging areas. I recommend checking the
attractions that are open during Early Entry to figure out your strategy. For example, I love hitting up Fantasyland because so many of these attractions are near each other to get quite a few in before park opening.
Benjamin, thanks again for stopping by! I hope you enjoy all of the holiday magic!
