Hi Sharon!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR!
How fun that your visit to Mickey's house will also allow you to spend time with family! Walt famously built his beloved theme park as a place where parents and children could have fun together, and I think that spirit absolutely carries over to the
Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Yes! Your parents are more than welcome to enter the hotel, head up to your guest room, hang out in the lobby, have a drink with your crew at any of the
hotel dining options, etc. They might even be able to hang out on a pool chair if they are very obviously in their street clothes as each guestroom is given a specific number of pool wristbands per day. (That's mainly to monitor who is in the pool, not the pool chairs.) I hope you all enjoy the beauty of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and each other's company!
Pro Tip: Your parents will have
a few different parking options.
Disney's Grand Californian offers both Valet and Self Parking, however, both will incur an hourly charge. They can pay to park in the Theme Park Parking Structure and take the parking lot tram which will drop them off at the
Downtown Disney District side entrance of The Grand. Or, if your parents are fine with walking a little bit, AND your group has plans to shop or dine around the
Downtown Disney District, then
parking in the Simba Lot will be their best wallet-friendly option.
I hope this helped to clEAR up your question, Sharon! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more
Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
