Staying at the Grand Californian in February. Their spa doesn’t open until the spring. Where’s the best place to get a massage?

Hey Diane! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sounds like you’re getting ready for a wonderful stay at the Disneyland Resort

I’m so excited for your upcoming stay! Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is my favorite hotel on property at the Disneyland Resort. You’re sure to enjoy craftsman-style elegance with superb dining experiences. Speaking of dining, make sure to stop by the hotel’s newest dining addition, GCH Craftsman Bar. You’ll sit back, relax and enjoy an al fresco setting by the pool. My family enjoys stopping by after enjoying a day of swimming at the pool or a fun day at the parks. With the hotel’s direct entrance to Disney’s California Adventure Park, it’s easy to make GCH Craftsman Bar a part of your day at the parks. Their food menu and hand crafted cocktails are to die for!

What better way to wind down after piloting the Millennium Falcon on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or breaking out of the Collector’s fortress on Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT! than a relaxing massage! As you mentioned, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will not be quite ready to take guests for spa services during your visit. After speaking to a cast member at the hotel, they are recommending for their guests to enjoy a massage at the spa located at the Outlets of Orange or the spa located inside the Hilton Hotel at the Convention Center. The Outlets of Orange are about a 12 minute drive and the Hilton is within walking distance. I would contact them directly to inquire about a specific service you would be interested in. Rest assured that Disney Imagineers are hard at work to ensure that the new Tenaya Stone Spa will be a wonderful addition to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I know you’re just as excited as I am to try it the next time you’re back.

Well Diane, I hope one of these options makes you as calm and relaxed as Flash from Zootopia. Actually, that might be too relaxed! Make sure to come back and visit us with any other questions you may have.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
