We are staying at the Grand Californian in August. For Paint the Night parade packages the Sonoma Terrace offers a charcuterie tray (individually for each person). We have small children 3 and 5. Do you know if it is child friendly?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Terry!

Your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner, how exciting! You and your family are going to absolutely LOVE the Paint the Night Parade. It’s my all-time favorite parade because of all the dazzling lights and up beat soundtrack. I love every moment! Plus, you will have some amazing seats if you have booked the Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Reception. You’ll be glad to know that they offer a kids version of the charcuterie plate for this dining package. Kids will receive a plate with fruit like strawberries, grapes, and an orange in addition to ham, cheese, and goldfish crackers. I know my 5-year-old would absolutely gobble up everything on that plate!

Additionally, your kids can choose from a non-alcoholic beverage like a soda, water, or hot chocolate. Sometimes the evenings can get a bit chilly (bring light jackets!), so a cup of hot cocoa would be the perfect toasty treat. Finally, while the adults will receive a box of chocolate truffles to go, I have seen reports of children receiving caramel apples to take home after the parade instead. So, I think you and your kids will find this dining experience to be quite delightful and you will most definitely enjoy having secured one of the best parade viewing spots in the park in advance.

I hope this helps. Have a fantastic time at the Disneyland Resort!
