We are staying at the Grand California hotel next week and are wondering how to get back to the hotel if we are at Disneyland and California Adventure closes earlier?

    Hi there, Mylee!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can't wait for you to experience the Craftsman-style elegance of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This is my very favorite hotel at the Disneyland Resort. I can spend hours just enjoying the grand lobby and fireplace or walking around the hotel grounds to take in all of the beautiful decor and details.

One of the best perks of staying at this amazing hotel is the dedicated entrance to Disney California Adventure Park for hotel Guests. If you plan on using this entrance at park opening, my advice is to get in line early as possible as many other Guests also want to enter at this exact same time.

It's funny you ask this question, because I just experienced this scenario during my visit last week. Obviously if Disney California Adventure Park is open, it is quicker to enter the hotel from the dedicated in-park entrance even if you are leaving from Disneyland Park, if you are using a Park Hopper ticket. When Disney California Adventure Park is closed, you'll just need to head through the Downtown Disney District and enter the hotel between Sephora and the Disney Dress Shop. On your way to this entrance you can still shop at the World of Disney, grab something from Starbucks, or even have a late-night sweet treat from Salt & Straw (this was my choice last week!).

Don't forget to stop by the Guest Services desk at the hotel to check out the events and activities offered during your stay. I love the Get Up & Go Power Walk through Disney California Adventure Park and the complimentary Art of Craft Tour for hotel guests.

I hope your trip is practically perfect in every way!
