    Hey Tami!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like your planning a magical vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is my favorite hotel on property. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I’m proud to call it my home resort. The Cast Members there are some of the best and they’ll make you feel like a million bucks. September will be perfect for lounging by the pool so leave some room in your stay for R-E-L-A-X-I-N-G. Make sure you try the GCH Craftsman Bar during your stay and I highly recommend the Double-baked Beef Nachos, the Maine Lobster Quesadilla and Forest Mushroom Pizza. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

I wish I had more information about what will be open at the parks, but at this time there isn’t a date for a reopening of the parks or if Oogie Boogie Bash- A Disney Halloween Party will be available. Personally, I’m not worried about most attractions being closed. While some attractions may not be able to open, others will and will have social distancing and extra cleaning procedures in place. There is no list yet on what will be available when the parks open and that list will change as needed and could look completely different by the time your September stay comes up. What we do know is that the attractions and experiences that bring big crowds together will not be available and return at a later time. This would include Fantasmic! any parades and firework shows. I think you're just going to have to watch closely and decide as your trip gets closer.

I will say that I have stayed 5 days at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and NOT stepped foot into the parks one time. Between the Downtown Disney District (Approved to open in 2 weeks), the three amazing hotels and the pool at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted. It was such a memorable stay for us.

Well Tami, I hope this gives you some better information to help you with your trip and if something comes up as your trip gets closer please come back and let us know.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
