Hi Christine!
I am so excited for the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland! It is going to be an out-of-this-world fantastic adventure, and I think it’s great that you are planning around the opening. As you know, from May 31st to June 23rd, a free reservation is required to access the land. We have been getting lots of questions similar to yours, and one of my fellow Disneyland mommas talked with a Cast Member a few days ago who assured her that Guests with hotel reservations would be getting their designated
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge slot in the next week or two. Since you are arriving on June 8th, this looks like you will be receiving it just as your advanced dining reservation window opens!
If you haven’t received your intergalactic pass when your window opens, I would suggest making multiple dining reservations and then modifying them as soon as you know your window. Remember though, there are some dining packages, such as The World of Color dessert party that are pre-paid and non-refundable, so you might want to wait to book until you are sure of your land spot. Most Disney dining reservations have a 24-hour cancellation window, so you should be ok over the next few weeks, but please refer to the confirmation email for specifics. You can also take advantage of
FASTPASS for Fantasmic! and World of Color if you are concerned about a guaranteed spot!
The last time we stayed at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, we discovered the delicious waffles at White Water Snacks. They were the perfect start to the day, and then we were just a quick walk away from the special entrance to Disney California Adventure Park!
Christine, May the Force be with you planning your galactic vacation!
