Ahoy and welcome to planDisney, Sara! Time aboard
Disney Cruise Line is the perfect form of relaxation after all those steps at
Walt Disney World Resort exploring the theme parks. Land and Sea is the perfect combination!
I see you are staying at a nearby Good Neighbor Resort and want to use Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to the port. I know you can easily add ground transportation to your cruise reservation from a Walt Disney World Resort, and your ground transportation information will be given to you when you check in at your resort. Since this is a bit different, I called Disney Cruise Line and spoke with a Cast Member. She shared that this would be an exception to the normal procedures, so you would have to
call Disney Cruise Line and ask if it is possible with your reservation. If it is possible, they will let you know which Walt Disney World Resort you would travel to for your bus and how to get any documentation you might need.
Another option is reserving private transportation. There are many services that will pick you up at the resort where you are staying and take you to Port Canaveral. I have used Happy Limo and had a great experience. There is also Port Canaveral Connection and others with the option to have a car just for your family or to schedule a ride in a larger vehicle with multiple families. I enjoyed the private car as they arranged my pick-up time based on my cruise port arrival time, and they stopped for us to run into a convenience store for some last-minute items before boarding the ship. It was very convenient for us.
