I am staying at a good neighbor hotel which I booked separate from my park tickets? What do I need to show at the gate to get in on early park entry? Will I receive something from the hotel?

    Hi Natalie! Welcome to planDisney!

When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, there are many great options when it comes to where to stay! Disney Resorts Collection hotels are all fabulous choices, but the Good Neighbor hotels offer a greater variety as well. Each one of these hotels will typically have top-notch amenities and offer a high level of service to even be considered a Good Neighbor hotel. You are going to love your stay here!

Another perk that comes included with select Good Neighbor hotels is Early Theme Park Entry to all four theme parks daily. If your hotel is included in this, you will be able to enter the parks 30 minutes before the official park opening time. This benefit allows you to get a head start on a majority of the crowds and will give you the chance to ride more attractions with shorter wait times.

To verify when visiting the parks that you are eligible, Cast Members will be waiting to scan your MagicBand or Admission Card that will link to your My Disney Experience account. Before your visit, you'll need to link your hotel reservation to your account. To do so, log on to your My Disney Experience account using the Walt Disney World website and select "Resort Hotel". You will then select "Link Hotel" and enter the confirmation code you received during the booking process. This should link the hotel to your account and provide you access when taking advantage of Early Entry. If you are having trouble, you can always call the Disney Resorts Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be happy to help get your account set up prior to your stay.

I would suggest taking advantage of the extra time you get in the parks. My strategy is to head straight to the popular attractions and ride them with minimal wait times. This way when the park officially opens, you can utilize your time for other experiences that you may not normally get a chance to do. We usually grab a coffee or breakfast snack and take in the sights and sounds of the park around us!

Natalie, you are only a few weeks away from experiencing the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! Have an amazing visit!

    See ya real soon!
