Hi Meredith,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let the countdown begin. Your trip is quickly approaching!
My family prefers to stay at resort hotels with access to the
Resort Monorail, so I am delighted to answer this question. Officially, the monorail starts operating 30 minutes prior to earliest park opening. On our last visit, the posted times for the Resort Monorail (with service to resort hotels, Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center) had a start time of 7:00 a.m. To get to Epcot, we have to change monorails at the Transportation and Ticket Center. In my experience, we have boarded the Resort Monorail by 7:20 a.m. So, I think you should be fine. When you arrive, just double-check the monorail times with a cast member at your resort hotel. Be sure to request the operating times for the Resort Monorail and the Monorail to Epcot.
Meredith, if you are like me, however, you may want to arrive earlier and then get in line at the entrance to the park. If so, consider using the
Minnie Van™ Service. We have also used Uber and taxi services to get to Epcot when other modes of Disney transportation were delayed or when we needed to get to pre-park dining reservations on days when there were no early morning
Extra Magic Hours!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
