Hi Moms!! Staying at the GF (garden view) 1/30-2/6/2010 with DH, DS5, DD7 - should we request a specific building or location - want to be close to transportation - ADRs for 8am most mornings, and also to the restaurants within the GF - any suggestions?

    Amber:

The most logical choice for a room request that would put you near either the monorail or bus transportation would be the Main Building, but it is Concierge-only.  The next logical choice is Sugar Loaf Key, but alas, it is also Concierge.  The Sago Key building would probably be your best choice.

However, with all that said, I find that I get my needs met best at Disney when I tell them what I'm looking for, in your case, a room close to transportation, rather than giving a specific room or building and make sure it is noted on my reservation.  (I even fax in my request again about 10 days out from our stay.)  Although Disney doesn't guarantee room requests, they do try to meet your requests.  And if they are unable to get you a specific room or building, they won't be able to read your mind if you don't tell them the reason for the request.  So, my best advice is to make sure they know why you're making the request so that if they can't give you your first choice, they'll try to do their best.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
