Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We are staying in the garden wing at disneys contemporary resort. can we request a room/level? if so what do you recomend? we eaither want to be on the first floor close to the pool or on the 3rd floor facing the lake so we can see the water show at night

    Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

    You are very welcome to request a particular room/floor, and if it is available you will be given your choice of room.  However, please remember that nothing can be guaranteed. Something I do before every visit to Walt Disney World is to send a letter (by mail, not email) direct to our resort, requesting our favourite room location.  I will say that we have been lucky every time, but I am sure that is purely down to luck, and the availability at the time.  The mailing address is: Disney's Contemporary Resort, 4600 North World Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830 (telephone 407-824-1000).

    Regarding your Garden Wing at Disney's Contemporary Resort - I think this is a good choice of room - and most rooms include some views of Bay Lake or the Pool.  The best views of the Electrical Water Pageant give you the longest walk to the Tower building, so if this is of concern to you, perhaps it would be better to request a pool view.   It is also worth noting that very few of the Garden Wing rooms have balconies, but first-floor rooms do have patios.  So, please go ahead and make your request, and be as specific as you can.  I hope you will be successful!
