Staying at FW Campground with DH, DD7 & DD15mos, we are bringing our own stroller. Would it be easier to drive our car to the parks or take the bus? Would we have to pay for parking?

    Erin:

    Take the car!

Our family drives our RV to Fort Wilderness, and it is always such a dilemma: do we pull the car or the golf cart?  The answer: if we are going to more than Magic Kingdom, we pull the car.

As much as I love the fort, its downside is its transportation system. It's as good as it can be, but if you rely solely on the Disney bus system while you're there, you'll spend a lot of time waiting--and with a 15-month-old, I don't recommend it.  Your car at your site enables you to skip not only the bus to the park but also the forts internal buses. Plus, with a stroller, you'd still have to fold it up to ride the bus, so why not take the car? In addition, simply ask for a parking pass for your car when you check-in, and you can park for free at the theme parks.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
