Staying at FW Cabins and would like to view MK Fireworks an evening we do NOT have WDW Park Tickets. Can you recommend the best place to view with Audio (as I've been told the view from where we're staying is limited/no audio). Directions as well.

Why hello there Karen and welcome back to planDisney!

I'm glad to be able to answer this one for you, as I recently conducted a bit of in-person research about the best locations to view Happily Ever After from the Resort Hotels along the Walt Disney World Monorail transportation loop. The directions to access these fireworks viewing locations at the Resort Hotels surrounding Magic Kingdom Park are easy and best accessible from The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort by taking the water launch headed to Magic Kingdom Park and then continuing on the available complimentary transportation options or even just walking! The viewing experiences that include the show audio vary quite a bit by location and whether you're willing to spend a little extra for a better view so here are some of my findings:

    • From Disney's Contemporary Resort you'll be able to experience the fireworks from some of the closest vantage points like the observation deck accessible through the doors from the concourse on the fourth floor, just behind the Fantasia merchandise location. (There's some limited seating here and I've observed families camping out hours ahead for these prime spots!) Alternatively you can opt to dine at California Grill, which allows you the opportunity to view the fireworks from the viewing platforms high above for a vantage point unlike any other besides the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower currently only available to eligible Disney Vacation Club members and their guests.
    • At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa you'll be able to spot the fireworks from the very end of the pier and have a similar vantage point that may be a bit less crowded if you choose to dine at Narcoossee's to take advantage of their own waterside outdoor viewing area. Personally, I've watched my share of fantastic fireworks from the Grand Floridian Marina Patio & Terrace area just adjacent to Gasparilla Island Grill which has excellent viewing, more seating options available and a chance to easily place a mobile order for a showtime snack.
    • Over at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort you'll find folks flocking to the limited beach area currently available to view the fireworks due to the current ongoing construction. My tip if your heart is set on snagging a seat on the beach is to come quite early!
    • You may have better luck from the ferry docks at the nearby Ticket and Transportation Center, as long as you're not bothered by the overhead lighting that remains on during the show. From here you might also be interested in Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise which requires a separate ticket purchase but includes treats to enjoy!
Hope this helps, Karen; be sure to keep in mind that the audio feed in some spots may sometimes be faint or unreliable but thankfully this is an infrequent occurrence. Here's hoping you can end your night with the dazzling view from wherever you choose!

    Wishing you some fantastic fireworks,
    Prince
