We are staying at the FW cabins and don't want to spend our whole trip waiting around for buses. Should we rent a golf cart to get around the cabins, or should we rent a car so that we can get to the parks and other hotels for dinners?

    Hi Laura!

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World.  Part of the experience for me and my family is a golf cart.  I'll be honest and tell you it is frustrating waiting for an internal resort bus that stops at loop after loop just to get to another bus stop to take you to the parks.  Having a golf cart really eliminates wasted time and it is a fun mode of transportation.  We always have a car, but we like take the ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom or a bus to the other parks when we are staying at Fort Wilderness.  You will find that there is ample golf cart parking everywhere.

A fun activity at Fort Wilderness is to go joy riding at night.  There are so many campers that decorate their site.  It's amazing to see the lights and inflatables in the campsite loops.

    Have a magical day!
