Staying at Funtierland and would like to know if there is a place to store our luggage. We will arrive at 12pm and have dinner reservations at Downtown Disney at 6 pm. We do not have a car to leave it in and do not really want to carry it around.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kelly, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to have you here, and I’m even more thrilled to hEAR that your Disney adventures begin today!

I completely understand your dilemma. Depending on the size of your luggage, there are locker rentals available within the Disneyland Resort at three different locations. The first spot is on The Esplanade, right outside the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park. There are also locations inside each of the theme parks, including one on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, and one on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park. There are several different locker sizes available at different costs per day, and they can be accessed as much as you’d like throughout the day. The standard-size locker can fit about one full backpack, while the larger locker can fit about two full backpacks. Then, there’s the jumbo-size locker, which should fit most small carry-on bags. These jumbo lockers can be found in the lockers on The Esplanade. However, keep in mind that any luggage entering the Disneyland Resort will pass through a security checkpoint before getting to the Esplanade or within either theme park, and must adhere to the Disneyland Resort Rules, that it can’t exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high.

If your luggage is larger than those allowed dimensions, I’d recommend renting a car for the day if possible, and storing the luggage there. Another option is to get in touch with your Funtierland contact to see if an early check-in is possible. I noticed on their website that this may be a possibility, but that fees may apply – but, this may be worth it for your family in the long run.

If you’d like to start planning your Disney day, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for today. I hope you enjoy your meal at Downtown Disney District… there are so many yummy options!

Wishing you the most magical, pixie-dusted fun during your stay at the Happiest Place on Earth!
