I am staying with friends at Port Orlean Riverside w/ my 1 yr old. When they leave I need to meet my own family at AllStar Sports. I am trying to figure out what to do with myself, the baby, the luggage etc between 9am when they leave and 3pm check in ??

    Hi Laurie,

Dealing with your luggage is easy.  Simply call bell services at Port Orleans.  They'll pick up your luggage and transfer it to All Star Sports for you.

As far as you and the baby are concerned, I recommend heading over to Downtown Disney and then catching a bus to All Star Sports.  You can begin the check in process for your family.  They'll give you your park passes, room key and any other information.  They'll also take your cell phone number, so that they can call or text you when your room is ready.  It's possible, especially with a toddler, that your room may be available earlier than 3:00 - it never hurts to let them know that you'd really appreciate getting into your room early.

After that, if you have park tickets you and your little one can go play for the day and meet up with the rest of your family later.  If not, I recommend heading back to Downtown Disney.  It's a pretty relaxing way to spend the day, and there are plenty of diversions for little ones.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
