We are staying with friends (DVC member) dec 20 - jan 4 at Kidani Village 2 bedroom and paying them the difference in cost. Can we still purchase the dining plan even though the other family isn't? We would really like to save money, any advice? thanks

    Hi Laura!

Thanks for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

Unfortunately, everybody staying on the same reservation has to be on the Disney Dining Plan for anybody in the room to be on it.

That said, you might not really save that money being on a plan.  Your friends already have some discounts at some places courtesy of being a Disney Vacation Club member.  They may also have something called a Tables in Wonderland card that they can share with you if you are all eating at the same places.  I suggest asking them.

To give you a good idea of what meals cost in Walt Disney World, I suggest visiting the independent website AllEars.Net.  There you can see the menu, including prices, for all of the Table Service and Quick Service restaurants in Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
