We will be staying at the French Quarter this Christmas and was wondering if the fridge in the rooms have a space for ice packs to freeze?

    Hi Janet,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel! Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite moderate resort and I've stayed there several times. But I couldn't remember what the mini refrigerators looked like inside ( I thought I recalled a very small freezer), and I've seen conflicting information.

So I called the resort get an answer for you and to settle the issue for myself.

The cast member I spoke with double-checked with her supervisor and said that, unfortunately, the fridges do not have a freezer compartment.

If you will need ice packs for a small cooler -- or maybe to ease tired muscles -- I suggest packing a box of sealable plastic bags that can be filled with the free ice available in machines at each resort.

Please let me know if I can help with any other questions as you plan your visit. If I don't know the answer, I'll do my best to find someone who does.

Enjoy your vacation at the Walt Disney World resort!
