We are staying at Fort Wilderness- What time does the first bus leave in the am (i.e. getting to Animal Kingdom when it opens) and how late do the buses run in the pm? (i.e. extra magic hours) Thanks!

    Hi Dana,

The buses to the theme parks from all of the Walt Disney World Resorts generally operate 1 hour prior to park opening and 1 hour after park closing.  Don't worry they never leave anyone behind, I was told by a bus driver from Animal Kingdom.  I was eating with my daughter in Rainforest Cafe after Animal Kingdom had closed and the bus driver came into the restaurant to make sure that there was no one else wanting the bus.  Well, I did need the bus and he waited for us to finish and said..."don't worry, we will never leave anybody stranded!".  I was very impressed indeed that he actually came into the restaurant to check for more passengers after the 1 hour that they say they give you.  Have a magical stay when you go!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
