    Staying at Fort Wilderness soon and the golf carts are all sold out. I know they're first come first serve daily but could I rent a golf cart from a 3rd party and tow it in myself?

    Welcome to planDisney! We are honored to be here to help you answer your question about Fort Wilderness. I’m actually planning a visit there in early 2026, so I’ve been researching golf carts as well.

    I’m sorry to hear that the golf carts were already unavailable when you went to reserve them. I’ve heard that they are super high in demand, so that happens. Daniel, although you are unable to have a golf cart delivered via a third-party company to Fort Wilderness Resort or anywhere on Walt Disney World Resort property, you can tow one in yourself using a trailer. Before arranging for a rental, ensure that you can procure insurance for it. You must provide proof of liability insurance for the golf cart when checking in and signing the agreement and waiver. The golf cart must also be a golf-style cart; therefore, no off-road, ATV, utility, or construction-type carts are permitted. Additionally, you must adhere to the rules for Fort Wilderness just as you would if you were renting from the resort.
