Hello there, Mckenzie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out and ask a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort question!
As someone that utilizes a wheelchair whenever I visit Walt Disney World Resort, I actually have had very similar questions to your own! Before having my own experiences, I was very nervous to see how
Disney Transportation handles its
Guests with mobility disabilities. However, I was and have continued to be delightfully surprised by the level of consideration that is given to Guests using mobility devices throughout Walt Disney World Resort!
I am happy to report that there are definitively accessible
Minnie Vans that will be able to accommodate your mother and her ECV! I had the pleasure of utilizing one of these unique Minnie Vans last December and had a great experience with the Cast Member driving our Minnie Van!
In order to request an accessible Minnie Van, you will need to call a Minnie Van Service Specialist at (407) 828-3500. It is recommended that Guests placed their requests for an accessible Minnie Van approximately 45 to 60 minutes prior to needing the vehicle. Be sure to let the Minnie Van Service Specialist know that your mother will be needing transportation for an ECV as opposed to a standard wheelchair as these may require separate types of vehicles!
Hopefully, this information will assist you and your mother in having a wonderful family vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
