I am staying at Fort Wilderness, my question is, out of the parks, could i possibly do one in a half a day,and then go back and enjoy the campground fun too?

    Hi Tracy,

I just returned from a stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  My family and I positively love it there.  From pony or horse rides, to canoeing, to nightly campfires and sing-alongs, there is just so much to do.  I love your plan of enjoying the campground fun for a while!

I do think that you could plan to do one of the four theme parks in half of a day.  It of course depends on your traveling party and their interests which park would be best to do in half of a day.  I would recommend either Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom as your half-day park.  If you have older children who enjoy the thrill rides and shows at Disney's Hollywood Studios, then do your half day at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  If you have children who are really interested in animals, then make Disney's Hollywood Studios your half-day park.  Whichever you choose, I would recommend getting to that park at opening time in order to get the most done with the least crowds.  Then you can head back to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in the early afternoon.  If possible, you could plan this day for the day that your half-day park has Extra Magic Hours in the morning - that way, you can squeeze in just a little more time there!

Whatever you decide, have a great time hanging out at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  Be sure to check the flyer that you get upon check-in for daily activities.  Then, enjoy fishing, swimming, doing crafts, or whatever else your heart desires at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!
