    We are staying at Fort Wilderness this October. I have rented a golf cart for our 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 and 6). I will also rent a City Mini GT Double Stroller. Do you think I'll be able to load all 5 of us and the stroller on the golf cart?

    Hi Keira!  Renting a Golf Cart while staying in the Fort Wilderness Resort is very special. It allows you to get around quickly without using the internal bus system and also allows you to go through all the loops to see the decorations.

    There are two sizes of golf carts that you might be able to rent. The larger ones will easily fit your family group as well as a stroller as it has three rows of seats. However, these are rented on a first come basis so you cannot be guaranteed to get one when you arrive.

    The regular size carts will be a tight fit. I have seen some guests bring bungee cords to put the strollers on top during their drives. Others try to simply hold them in the back. Please understand that these golf carts are vehicles and you must do everything to keep the passengers safe as you drive. I say this because my husband accidentally "dumped" our grandchild out the back a few years ago as the cart jerked when he started it up. All was fine and we ended up laughing instead of crying but we are very careful now making sure everyone is ready to go. I suggest you keep the young children up in the front seat as they are most protected in that position. The other two adults can then hold the stroller while sitting in the back seat if you don't choose to bungee it on top.

    Since you are going in October you will be able to take time to see all the great decorations that many guests put up for Halloween. Some are absolutely amazing and it is worth an evening of driving loop to loop to see them. Look for the NFL/Packer decorations as that will by my husband and mine! Enjoy!
