We're staying at Fort Wilderness July 25-31- What is your suggestion for the order in which we visit the parks? My son will be 8 and my daughter will be 5. We do not have park hopper and will not be visiting the water parks.

    Hi Jennifer!

I hope you are having a magical time planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. This summer will be here before you know it.

For my family's visits, I like to take in a few factors when planning out our park days. First, depending on what time we will be arriving and how long the trip is going to take, I try and decide if we should just relax at the Resort  or try and plan a park day. It also depends on how many days we have tickets for. I like to make sure we are getting a full day's worth if we are limited. Lastly, I check the Park Hours Calendar to find out what parks are offering Extra Magic Hours for the day.  My family loves to take advantage of these extra hours available only to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property. Beyond these things I usually try to account for trends such as Friday, Saturdays and Mondays being busiest for Magic Kingdom Park while Saturdays tend to be great to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom and Mondays at Epcot are historically lower in attendance.

I would love to help you and your family plan your Storybook vacation, so if you would like to share some more details, or ask me another question please let me know. Hope to hear from you soon!

    Happy Planning,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
