We are staying at Fort Wilderness January 22-29th 2023. We would like to make a wood sign while we are there but cannot find information about when/how to do so. Please help!

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Amanda! Thanks for stopping by to chit-chat about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World

Staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is so much fun. My family and I camp there a few times a year and we really enjoy it. In fact, we are about to head down there in just a few days.

Typically, the activities schedule is released monthly which would be why you aren't finding any information about the schedule for your trip in January just yet. This activities schedule also isn't posted anywhere online officially by Walt Disney World. It's something that is posted around the campground and given out at check-in. There are several social media groups for Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground that will share the monthly calendar online which is how most people see them beforehand.

I'm currently looking at the December recreation activities sheet and I am not seeing the make a wood sign listed. Different activities are rotated in and out throughout the year. For December I'm seeing paint our own wooden ornament, build-a-button, design your own stocking, design your own lunch box, design your own tumbler, design your own camping bag and paint your own gingerbread house for morning activities. Then in the afternoon offerings are mickey tie dye, make your own slime, make your own bracelet, Mickey tie dye and make your own character ornament. There are also poolside activities, movies under the stars and a campfire sing-a-long with Chip N' Dale being offered during the month.

If making your own wooden sign is being offered during your trip, you'll see information posted about it throughout the campground. On the information, you'll see where and how to sign up for this activity. Typically, you'll sign up for extras at the Bike Barn.

I hope this helps, Amanda. If you have any other questions about staying at The Fort I'd love to help.

    Happy camping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
