We are staying at Fort Wilderness in January and have reserved a Disney golf cart. Are we able to park and leave that golf cart where we catch the buses to the parks and where you catch the boat to The Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Brenda!

Renting a Golf cart while staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is such a fun way to explore and really enjoy this large resort. It is important to reserve one way ahead of your arrival as there are only a certain number and they rent out quickly.

There are ample parking areas for the golf carts at both the marina and the main bus depot at the front of the resort. At the marina you will actually find a few spots where you can plug in and charge the cart while you are at the parks but there are no plug in spots at the bus depot area.

During crowded times you will find the over flow parking at the marina to be over at Pioneer Hall which just adds a few extra steps for you. At the main bus depot the overflow parking is often done on your own out by the road under the trees. You will just need to stay off the sidewalk and road when parking.

Remember to obey all the rules of the road and do not let young children be on your lap while driving. Also use caution for those passengers riding in the back seat. Sometimes when the carts start up they can jerk a little and kids who are not holding on or secured could fall off. I am mentioning this due to our past experience which luckily led to no injuries! Enjoy your special transportation cart during your stay and explore the resort.
