We are staying in Fort Wilderness in February at a Campsite in the Preferred area. Do we have access to the extended park hours?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Marol!

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney as you put the final pixie-dusted touches on the plans for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Can you believe that it's less than one month away?

I'm so glad that you asked about Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, Marol! The Walt Disney World theme parks always feel a bit more magical once the sun sets. There's just something about the twinkle of lights that makes it seem as if a coat of pixie dust has been sprinkled on the parks, and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are a great way to soak up a bit more of that magic. Because these Extended Evening Hours are currently reserved for Guests of Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Disney Resort Hotels (as well as a few select others), Guests of the Disney Vacation Club Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort qualify for this perk, but unfortunately, Marol, Guests of the Campsites do not.

While you won't have complimentary access to the theme parks after the posted closing time during your stay, I'm happy to share that you will be able to utilize the Early Theme Park Entry perk available to all Guests of Disney Resort hotels. In my experience, the ability to enter theme parks 30 minutes before all other Guests is incredibly useful in reducing wait times for some of the most popular attractions. Personally, if it weren't for this perk, I'm not sure if I would be able to enjoy my beloved Slinky Dog Dash each vacation without the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Although not included in the price of your hotel reservation, tickets to a Disney After Hours event would enable you to enjoy the theme parks after the end of a day's official theme park hours and with lighter crowds and shorter waits. Because these separately-ticketed events are not held each night, you'll want to check the event dates to see if tickets are available during your vacation.

planDisney Pixie Dust: If you're looking for complimentary entertainment, I encourage you to check out Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. Not only does it feature my favorite rascally duo, but it's conveniently located near you at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

I'm sure this was not the answer you were hoping for, Marol, but I do hope that the information I provided was helpful. If you're in need of additional assistance as you prepare for your upcoming visit, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
