We are staying in Fort wilderness in early February. Can we request a crib for our infant daughter and also will the pools be heated? I also heard the cabins are getting renovated. Will they be done when we come?

    Hi Ali,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you found us before your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It wasn’t long ago that my children needed a crib or Pack ‘n Play in our Disney Resort hotel room and I kind of miss those days!

There are two ways to request a crib or playpen for your room. Requests can be made when you first book the room, or once you arrive to your Disney Resort hotel. Since you’re arriving soon, you can contact the Front Desk once you’re at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Larger cribs are limited in quantity and not guaranteed.

If you are planning to swim, the pools at Walt Disney World Resort are heated to around 80 degrees. Depending on the temperature of the day, it may be a bit chilly for swimming, however that is totally up to you! Towels are not provided at the pools of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, so please take your room towels with you when you visit the pool.

You heard correctly that there are proposed plans to renovate the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. I reached out to a Cast Member to find out more information on the timeline for these renovations and unfortunately, they did not have any news to share at this time. I suggest keeping an eye on the Overview page for the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for any notices about future maintenance that may affect your stay.

If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney, Ali. We’re always here to help, before or after your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Enjoy making magical memories with your little Princess!
