Hello there, Linda. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. I see you are kicking off the new year with a trip to Walt Disney World. That is going to be so much fun!
Linda, I love staying at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. In fact, I was just there less than a week ago with my family. We celebrate Christmas at the Fort every year. It's like a down-home Christmas without being at home.
I think you'll be happy to know that there is a dedicated parking lot near the outpost (check-in/check-out area) for RV's and trailers. After you've checked out, you can park your RV in this area while you go explore the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I've never seen this lot all full, so I would definitely plan on parking there. If for some reason, it is all full there will be an overflow parking lot elsewhere. You'll just need to speak with a Cast Member to find out where.
As a Guest of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Linda, you are able to take advantage of the
Early Entry Hours offered to Walt Disney World Resort Guests. Each of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks is open 30 minutes earlier every day to enjoy. This will really help you get a headstart on your day. When I take advantage of this little extra perk, I am always so amazed at how much I can cross off of my must-do list. I highly recommend it!
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help! Have fun and happy new year!
