We are staying at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds and have friends that are staying at an off-park location that we want to have meet us at our campsite to travel over to the park with our kids together. Is there a place for visitors to Ft Wilderness to park?

Hi Shannon!  Soon you will be enjoying one of my favorite resorts on property. We love to come with our motor coach and spend several weeks in Fort Wilderness each year.

Guests are welcome to visit you at your site in the campgrounds during your stay. As you can imagine there is not room at the site so they must park at the front of the resort and then take an internal bus to the proximity of your loop and then walk to your site. During peak times such as Halloween and Christmas the resort will be closed to all except those holding a reservation as there is not room to accommodate everyone with parking.

Technically from that point your guests would not be able to join you on the Disney transportation since that is specifically for Disney resort guests only. You can imagine if everyone brought friends and family from outside how crowded the boats and buses would become and how long the lines would be for the actual resort guests. I suggest you pick a time and location for the parks to meet and arrange it in that way. We often meet our friends at specific spots such as in front of the floral Mickey face in front of the train station in the Magic Kingdom or by the big topiary outside of the Hollywood Studios. This makes it easy for everyone.

It is fun to share a day in the parks with friends and be sure and get your dining set up before you go to include everyone so you can sit and relax during your park days.
