We're staying at Fort Wilderness Campground in August. How can we get to the Miniature Golf Courses?

    Hello, Brandi,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so happy that you are planning on playing miniature golf while at Walt Disney World.  It has been a family tradition of ours for many years, and we think it is so much fun!  My personal favorite course is Winter Summerland Miniature Golf where there are two courses:  one is Summer and the other Winter.  Yet, they are both all about Santa Claus and Christmas with lots of surprises along the way.  To get to this location, you will need to take the Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park bus from your resort.  The course is located next to the front entrance of the water park.

The second course is Fantasia Gardens & Fairways Miniature Golf, which my sons like the best.  The first course here is themed around the scenes from the movie Fantasia and has plenty of fun twists and little adventures along the way. The second course here, however, is quite challenging as it is meant to recreate an actual golf course with sand traps, water hazards, and other obstacles.  I have to confess I usually designate myself scorekeeper on this course as I'm not the best golfer! Getting to this course from your resort is a little more complicated, so you may find it easiest to take a Disney Minnie-Van, Lyft/Uber, or taxi service directly there. If you'd rather rely on Disney transportation, I'd take a bus or boat from your resort to the Magic Kingdom then transfer to a Walt Disney World Swan Hotel bus.  From there, you can walk to the course, and a cast member can point you in the right direction.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if you have any further questions. -Kara
