We are going to staying at Fort Wilderness Campground again in May of 2023, we go almost every year. We have friends that told us they only allow 2 dogs per campsite, is that a new rule? We have have taken our 3 there for years.

    Howdy, Ralph!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite of all the Walt Disney World Resorts! The campground provides such a unique experience, while staying so close to the magic and it's so wonderful to be able to bring your furry family.  Now I'm itching to book my next stay there!

Fort Wilderness Resort does allow pets, but I did call and chatted online with two different Cast Members through the Walt Disney World Help Center, who verified that it is a 2 pet limit per campsite or cabin and that the pets can be added to your reservation prior to arrival and to also request a pet-friendly loop.  I would also like to make note that per the Pet-Friendly Policy on the home page for Fort Wilderness, it does mention that there is a small per-night pet fee.  I am not sure when or if this policy has changed, but the 2 pet per site policy is what is current.

I know you're a Fort Wilderness pro, but I'd like to recommend renting a golf cart while you are visiting, if you haven't already.  They are my favorite mode of transportation around the Fort and also the most fun!  Going joy riding in our golf cart is one of our "must dos" when we are camping.

    Have a magical day!
