Welcome to planDisney, Wilderness Explorer!
I’m so happy to hear that you will be ringing in the new year at Walt Disney World Resort. And with a stay in the cabins! It’s going to be the best visit ever. Have you already reserved your
golf cart? Since you are planning on having a few rest days, I highly recommend a golf cart rental. That way, you can cruise through the campgrounds and maybe even spot a few fellow visitors spreading holiday cheer with different decorations.
Upon your arrival, keep your eyes out for a pop-up stand. They are usually two feet tall and filled with information on what is happening throughout the resort, with dates and times. Something the campgrounds are known for is the
Chip ‘n’ Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long. You’ll be able to roast some marshmallows, have the option to purchase a s’mores kit, and share hugs with the best chipmunks around, Chip ‘n’ Dale! If you haven’t experienced this, add it to your must-do list!
As far as fun dining experiences, I’m happy to share a couple with you.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue happens at the campsites. It is a high-spirited music-and-comedy revue accompanied by a fantastic feast. One of the best dinner options around, in my opinion. I also enjoy
Whispering Canyon Cafe, located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This family feast is both hearty and filled with shenanigans that will leave you with some new core memories.
If you feel like venturing to a different resort,
Topolino’s Terrace is both stunning and delicious. I know you are looking for dinner options, but this place is also home to my favorite Character Breakfast. Now, going back to dinner options,
SteakHouse 71 or
‘Ohana keep you closer to “
home” and both offer great dining experiences.
Honestly, Katherine, I could go on with dining recommendations. Dining at Disney is one of my family’s favorite things to do. I hope this list gives you a good starting point. If you need any other recommendations or are looking for something more specific,
please let me know!
Enjoy,
Shantel
