Staying at Fort Wilderness Cabins 4-09. We're driving down from Ohio for our first Disney Vacation with a 5 and 2 year old. Would it be wiser to use Disney transportation or our own car to get from park to park and/or event?

Hi, Dawn!  The answer to your question depends on where you are going!  If you are going to a theme park, then it will probably easier to use the Disney Transportation.  If you are going to a hotel for dinner, it would be easier to drive since there are not any busses that go from the Cabins directly to another resort.  (For example, if you are going to Boardwalk or Grand Floridian for dinner, I think it is easier to take your own car.)

I also recommend driving if going to one of the Miniature Golf locations, as these are a bit more complicated and time consuming with the busses.  Otherwise, you should find Disney Transportation to be convenient.  If you don't, you will have a parking permit which will allow you to park for free at the theme parks, so you can take your own car if you prefer.

    Have a wonderful vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
