Hi. We are staying at Fort Wilderness cabins in December. Our return flight home is at 6:00 am, so we will need to leave at 3:30 am. Are all Lyft drivers able to go directly to the cabin, or just the Minnie vans? Thanks!

Greetings John and welcome to planDisney!

It’s amazing that on the day that we leave for our amazing trip to Walt Disney World that a 3:30am wake up alarm is welcomed!  It’s not so much appreciated on that final day of the vacation, my family used to call the old Disney airport transportation the tragical express on that final day!

John, on your final day at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort, that alarm will come early and if you are going to utilize a Lyft ride share to Orlando International Airport (MCO), the standard Lyft drivers will not be able to pick you up directly at your cabin.  They must meet you in the designated pick-up area.

The Minnie Van Service, connected by Lyft, will be able to pick you up at your cabin and transport you to MCO. This Minnie Van service is available to MCO for Guests who are staying at Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas, and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are on the Deluxe Villas list. The Minnie Van can accommodate up to six guests, and it includes two complimentary car seats if you are travelling with little Mouseketeers.

John, you can book the Minnie Van airport service beginning 60 days in advance of your visit, up to 2 days before your arrival date.

John, with your arrival in December, I hope you get a chance to celebrate the holidays with Mickey and Minnie at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  This special ticketed event is always on my family's list of must-do’s!  We make sure we arrive at the Magic Kingdom right at 4pm for the early entry to the park that the ticket allows before the party kicks in at 7pm!  There is really something special about the holidays Main Street U.S.A.!

John, that final night alarm might come early, but the memories you will have on your magical adventure will make for some sweet Disney dreams! Make sure you enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
