I will be staying at the fort wilderness cabin. i'm trying to make dinner reservations and trying to gage our travel time to various parks (relying solely on disney transportation)...to downtown disney, MK, HS, AK, epcot, floridian and contemporary?

    Hi Lynn!

When trying to figure out transportation times to various points within the Walt Disney World Resort, I like to use the transportation wizard on ourlaughingplace.com. (Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the homepage for the link to the wizard.)

This is a good tool to use for approximate travel times. I usually add about 15-20 minutes to the times to account for the time spent waiting for a bus and other unforseen circumstances.

According to the transportation wizard these are the estimated times for transportation from Fort Wilderness:

To Hollywood Studios: 18-20 minutes by bus
To Magic Kingdom: 16-20 minutes by boat
To Animal Kingdom: 24-30 minutes by bus
To Epcot: 13-15 minutes by bus
To Downtown Disney: 16-20 minutes by bus
To Grand Floridian: 35-40 minutes by boat to the Contemporary and then monorail to the Grand Floridian
    Contemporary: 12-15 minutes by boat

As I said these are just estimates and I would always add extra time just to be sure you arrive in plenty of time.

I hope this helps map out your daily schedules. Have a wonderful vacation!
