Staying at Fort Wilderness and bringing a 20ft Car Hauler trailer with my RV. Where is trailer parking?

Hello there, Shane! We here at planDisney absolutely love helping guests plan their next magical vacation, so thank you for bringing this question to us!

I am a huge fan of The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. My family has tent-camped, brought our camper, and stayed in the cabins there! I love feeling like we are out in the country, while actually being only minutes from Magic Kingdom Park! The amenities here can't be beat, and there's a sense of community that's hard to describe. I just know you are going to love it.

As for parking your trailer, I have good news. There is an overflow lot located at the front of Fort Wilderness property where you will be permitted to park your trailer. I recommend you let a Cast Member know when you're checking in, as they may want to provide some sort of documentation to affix to your trailer.

I could try to tell you about all the recreation options at Fort Wilderness, but that would take more characters than I am allotted! I'd love to share my favorites, though:

    • The Electrical Water Pageant - This is a classic floating parade held at night that has been around for decades. It is simple and nostalgic. My family likes to grab Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars from Settlement Trading Post and find a spot on the beach to watch the cavalcade of lights.

    • Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue - It's an over-the-top all-you-care-to-enjoy meal served family style, including buckets of fried chicken, favorite comfort foods as sides (don't skip the cornbread), and a strawberry shortcake you'd better save room for! The entertainment is hilarious and a little cheesy, and there's a chance you'll end up as part of it!

There's also bike rentals, fishing, kayaking, swimming pools, archery, wagon rides, trails, playgrounds...I think you get the idea! I would never suggest you visit Walt Disney World Resort without visiting the parks, but I am saying that you could spend a week at this resort and still not run out of things to do!

I hope this helps, Shane! I want you and your family to make incredible memories and have the most magical time. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us again here at planDisney!
