Hi Ouida!
In my opinion the
Fort Wilderness Resort is the best resort on property for unique experiences that cannot be enjoyed anywhere else. We love the Fort and enjoy our fall visits every year where we "glamp" out for several months.
The only way to get to the Magic Kingdom easily is by boat from Fort Wilderness. To get there especially early you could take the local boats which travel between the Fort and Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary Resort. This boat starts at 6:45 am each day and you can then easily walk to the Magic Kingdom and get there way before other guests. The rope drop at the Magic Kingdom is a bit different now as they do allow all guests to enter Main Street at least 45 minutes before the park opens.
Buses will transport you to all of the other three parks. Generally the
Buses will run about 45 minutes before park opening. If that is not early enough you can select your own transportation such as a taxi or Uber. Transportation time to Hollywood Studios is about 15-20 minutes, Epcot is about 15 minutes, and Animal Kingdom park is about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic.
Using Disney transportation to get to the parks really early is not the best way to go. If you have your own auto then drive to the other three parks and if not then use a taxi to get there for early line up for rope drop.
If you choose to use the taxi service then you will also need to use the internal bus at the Fort to get you to the front of the resort. Taxis are not allowed inside to the Cabin or camping loops so you will meet them at the front Outpost where you check in. Plan on calling and having about a 15 minute wait for the taxi to arrive.
Enjoy your early days at the parks!
