Hello, or maybe I should say
"Howdy Lisa!" and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort truly are one of my families most favourite spots to stay on Disney property, we absolutely adore the idyllic peacefulness and quiet found there and can't wait to perhaps one day give
real camping at the
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort a try just like you next month!
Generally speaking campfire pits are permitted at
The Fort, but they must be of an approved design and for safety reasons fully enclosed, plus I'm super happy to share that each Campsite and Cabin does benefit from the wonderful amenity of a fixed charcoal grill for some outdoor BBQ fun.
My top tip for researching good examples of campfire pits is to search
Google for
'Disney Approved Campfire Pits' which should provide a good sample of what other Guests have used previously.
Because everything is always subject to change at Walt Disney World Resort and this is especially so when fire safety due to climate/weather conditions has to be taken into consideration. Therefore my best advice to gain the most up to date information on the
current permissions for lighting fires or to check for burn bans at
The Fort is to speak with a Cast Member by dialling the telephone number contained within my previous links or
Non-Reservations in this
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory. Wishing you happy, safe and magical camping!
