We are staying at the G Floridian w/ kids ages 8,6,and 2. Can you recommend a building we should stay in- close to the best pool and monorail? Also, do the first floor rooms have patios? We would like a place to relax and talk when the kids go to bed.

We have stayed in Boca Chica, Big Pine Key and the Main Building. The Grand Floridian is a relatively compact resort. You will not have too far to walk from any of the outer buildings to the pool or monorail.

The building closest to the Beach Pool is Big Pine Key. This building is also close to the quiet pool and an easy walk to the Main Building’s monorail station. (Sago Cay would be the farthest.) I have always enjoyed our stays at Big Pine Key. As you approach Big Pine Key, you will enter in to a first floor lobby before proceeding to your Victorian room.

First floor rooms do have patios. All others have balconies. Most patios/balconies have two chairs with a small side table. Upper floor dormer rooms have enclosed balconies.  Enjoy this beautiful resort!
