Hi Laura! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! You're only days away from an unforgettable visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm sure you're excited to finally arrive and begin putting your planning into action.
In order to arrive for your reservation on time, using a ride-share service may be your best option when traveling from a hotel outside of the Walt Disney World Resort. I've always found these services reliable and will bring you directly from point A to point B. When visiting
Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will be dropped off not far from the entrance to the park. This differs from visiting the Magic Kingdom, where the ride-share service is required to drop you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center.
Once you arrive, head straight toward the entrance where you will go through security and then head to the gate. I couldn't tell exactly what time your reservation is for, but if it is slated before the park officially opens, you will need to locate the entry gate that allows Guests in for early reservations. I suggest looking out for a Cast Member who may be holding a sign to direct you, or simply ask anyone located in the vicinity for directions.
I would arrive at the park about 30 minutes before your reservation to get through both security and the park entrance. This will also give you time to head back to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and over to
Savi's Workshop. This is one of my favorite experiences at any of the four parks and perfect for even the mildest Star Wars fan. Having the chance to build a custom lightsaber to bring home is such a unique souvenir.
Laura, I hope you have a magical time during your stay! If you're able to snag a reservation to
Oga's Cantina while you are there, I highly recommend popping in for a beverage. The theming is incredible and the drinks are out-of-this-world!
See ya real soon!
