I am staying for the first time at the Disney Port Orleans Riverside. I am going with my 2 daughters age 6,11. I can not decide on pool view or Riverview room- Is Riverview worth the extra money?

    Hi, Theresa!

Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is a fantastic choice in the moderate category. I love the relaxed feeling and old southern charm that surround this location.

When choosing your view, my advice is to go with the Pool View option. Here's why:

    • This resort does not offer balcony or patio space, its design is motel style with an entry door, one window and the walkways cross in the front of the doors and windows; so even with the window open, the room design is not conducive to allow you to actually enjoy the view.

    • With a pool view you at least know you are within walking distance from your room to the pool, something I'm sure will be more important to your princesses than seeing the "river" when they sit on the air conditioning unit and try to look out the window. Also, if you're near the pool, chances are you will be nearer to the Riverside Mill Food Court and lobby area.

I hope this helps you decide, Theresa! Please let us know if you have an additional vacation planning questions. We are here to help.
